I make and design jewelry, and I am considering selling my creations via consignment. Is this a good idea? Can I make good money? The pieces are gorgeous, and they are excellent quality. Should I start by selling the costume jewelry pieces via consignment first so I am not out a lot of money if it falls through, or should I go for broke and try to sell the semi-precious and precious gems and metals first? Would appreciate some advice. Thank you!
anyone?? How do I change my category? lol

Shop around to find a reputable consignment shop with alot of foot traffic. Some take a huge chunk of the profits, 40-60%! Make sure you ask them what their policies are. I say start out small so you don’t lose too much money. Find out what they do with the products that don’t sell and check back often. I’ve put clothing in consignment shops only to find out that I didn’t get back soon enough and it was donated to charity. Be thorough in asking questions so that there are no surprises. I wish you the best!
Sell it on ebay. forget consignments, they take too big a bite of your cash. you could do craft fairs at high schools and churches in your community for a small fee for the table. Its a great place to get the word out about your jewelry
